Job Description: Our client in the metal manufacturing industry is seeking a Quality Engineer to support and enhance quality systems, manufacturing processes, and customer satisfaction initiatives within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring product quality, supporting new program launches, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and maintaining compliance with quality management system requirements.

This role requires a hands-on professional with robust problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and experience working cross-functionally with internal teams, customers, and suppliers.

Job Location: London, ON

Job Type: Full-time, permanent.

Compensation: $75,000 - $90,000 annually to start (depending on experience) + extended health/dental advantages + paid time off & more!

Key Responsibilities:

- Drive continuous quality improvement initiatives by identifying root causes, implementing corrective actions, and supporting preventive measures throughout the manufacturing process.
- Monitor and maintain product, process, and quality system performance to ensure compliance with customer, regulatory, and internal quality standards.
- Interpret and communicate customer quality requirements, acting as a key liaison between customers, suppliers, and internal cross-functional teams.
- Support new product launches and customer programs through APQP activities, First Article Inspections (FAI), PPAP submissions, capability studies, and process validation activities.
- Develop and maintain core quality documentation, including PFMEAs, Control Plans, Process Flow Diagrams, inspection standards, and related quality records.
- Lead and participate in corrective and preventive action (CAPA) initiatives involving customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.




- Coordinate dimensional inspections and measurement activities using appropriate gauges, fixtures, and inspection equipment.
- Oversee incoming, in-process, and final product inspections while ensuring compliance with applicable specifications and quality requirements.
- Train production and quality personnel on inspection methods, quality standards, and best practices.
- Maintain calibration programs for measurement equipment and monitor quality performance metrics, including scrap, rework, and non-conformance trends.
- Support the ongoing maintenance and continuous improvement of the ISO 9001 Quality Management System, including internal audits and compliance activities.
- Prepare reports, analyze quality data, and provide recommendations to improve product quality, process capability, and operational efficiency.

Requirements/Qualifications:

- Must have completed a 2-year program with a Diploma or Degree in Quality Engineering, Engineering Technology, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Must have a minimum of 3 years’ experience supporting quality initiatives within a manufacturing environment.
- Working knowledge of quality management systems and quality assurance principles, preferably within an ISO 9001-certified environment.
- Experience with Quality Core Tools, including APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plans, Process Flow Diagrams, SPC, and root cause analysis methodologies.




- Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to read, interpret, and analyze engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, and technical standards.
- Experience performing dimensional inspections and utilizing precision measuring instruments, gauges, and fixtures.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills with a continuous improvement mindset.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization and interact professionally with customers and suppliers.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Self-motivated and hands-on, with the ability to work independently and drive initiatives to completion.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

- ISO 9001:2015 Internal Auditor training or certification.
- Experience supporting new product launches, capability studies, and process validation activities.
- Exposure to metal manufacturing, casting, automotive, or industrial manufacturing environments.
