Job description and tasks

In addition to regular teaching responsibilities, the role also includes:

- Involvement in pedagogical days organized by the College
- Participation in departmental meetings
- Involvement in student-focused activities such as field trips, competitions, and year-end Graduate Exhibition.
- Performing other department related administrative duties

Required Qualifications

- Master’s degree in French language instruction or French literature;
Or
Master’s degree in a related field (language instruction, linguistics, translation, creative writing, or comparative literature, etc.) and substantial relevant experience related to French language instruction (FLS2, FLE3, or Français, langue d’enseignement) or teaching literature;
Or
Master’s degree in another field and at least two (2) years of compelling relevant experience related to French language instruction (FLS, FLE, or Français,



langue d’enseignement) or teaching French literature. More than half of the applicant’s pre-university or university studies must have been completed in French;
Or
An undergraduate degree in French language instruction or French literature and at least two (2) years of compelling relevant experience related to French language instruction or teaching French literature.

- Excellent communication skills in French and the ability to communicate in English are essential.
- Teaching experience at the college level is an asset.
