We are a leading compounding pharmacy group that expanded into a new world-class facility in Port Coquitlam. This position is for a Pharmacy Assistant that will work with the compounding pharmacists and technicians to produce high-quality compounded products. Employee in this position will be focusing on work in the NIOSH room. Our facility is fully compliant with the NAPRA guidelines and offers sterile, non-sterile and hazardous compounding. Comprehensive training will be provided in detail for the successful applicant.
Duties
- Compounding all types of non-sterile and sterile (assisting) compounds - Including but not limited to creams, ointments, suspensions, solutions, injections, tablets, capsules, suppositories etc
- Cleaning workstation between compounding products (including dishwasher)
- Making sure all batched items are well-stocked
- Milling Creams - Process compounds coming into the lab
- Assisting in processing compounds when needed in Kroll
- Assisting in preparing orders for delivery when needed
Requirements
- Prior experience in a hospital or pharmacy is preferred
- Pharmacy Assistant or Lab Assistant diploma is required
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
Pay: $20.00 per hour
