Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Kitchen Helper to support our culinary team in a fast-paced food service environment. The ideal candidate will assist with food preparation, maintain cleanliness, and ensure smooth kitchen operations. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain experience in the food industry and develop foundational skills in food handling, cooking, and restaurant service.

Duties

- Assist cooks and chefs with basic food preparation
- Prepare ingredients such as cutting, chopping, and portioning
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen areas
- Operate and maintain the commercial dishwasher
- Wash dishes, utensils, pots, and kitchen equipment
- Assist in receiving and putting away food order deliveries properly
- Follow all food safety and sanitation procedures
- Support kitchen operations during busy service periods
- Take out garbage and assist with general kitchen cleaning duties

Qualifications

- Knowledge of food safety protocols and proper food handling techniques
- Basic cooking skills and familiarity with meal preparation processes
- Strong attention to cleanliness and organization within the kitchen setting




- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
- Willingness to learn current skills related to the food industry and kitchen operations
- Previous kitchen or food service experience preferred
- Must be reliable, punctual, and hardworking
- Reliable transportation is required
- Ontario Food Handler Certification required
- Flexible availability preferred: Early mornings, Evenings, Weekdays, Weekends
