Job Overview
We are seeking dedicated and skilled Motorhands to join our team. The primary duties of a Motorhand is to ensure that all equipment is operating and functioning properly. Responsibilities include regular maintenance of the equipment specifically related to the engines that power the drilling rig.

Duties

- Regularly maintain drilling rig engines, transmissions, heating systems, diesel electric generators and motors, hydraulic systems and other mechanical equipment
- Monitor inventories for fuel, oil filters, lube oils, greases and other service items
- Maintain equipment logs and preventative maintenance records as required
- Operate and maintain the engines that run the draw works, turn rotary table and circulate drilling fluid
- Ensure usage of proper safety equipment
- Learn and adhere to the Company’s Safety Program and government safety regulations
- Support and promote to all employees the Company’s Policies, Procedures and Safety Programs
- Ensure safety and support equipment is functioning properly




- Set an example to fellow employees by adhering to all safe work practices and policies. Train new crew members to do the same.
- Ensure usage of proper safety equipment
- Ability to comply with company guidelines and work in a secure manner

Requirements

- Mechanical aptitude
- Ability to work safely and plan ahead
- Ability to work in a team setting
- Good organizational and communication skills
- Willingness to work in various weather conditions and at heights as required.
- A proactive attitude towards learning current skills and techniques related to drilling operations.
- Must possess ESC H2S Alive Certification
- Fall Protection/ Rig Rescue ESC Certification
- Standard First Aid Certification
- Confined Space Entry and Rescue Certification
- CSO Certification
- Must be able to successfully pass a Pre-employment Physical and Drug Test (arranged by Edge Drilling)

Job Types: Full-time, Seasonal

Pay: $42.80 per hour
