We are looking for a motivated Accounting Assistant to join our growing team in the Richmond office.

Responsibilities

- Assist accountants with day-to-day bookkeeping, invoicing, and journal entries
- Contribute to preparation of financial statements, corporate and personal tax returns, and compilation engagements
- Organize and update client records, track deadlines, and ensure timely follow-ups
- Draft, submit, and manage CRA correspondence and filings
- Handle data entry and document management
- Provide administrative and clerical support
- Communicate with clients professionally to gather documents and respond to basic inquiries
- Help maintain office workflow and support peak periods such as tax season

Requirements

- Education in business,



accounting, or related field (CPA preparatory coursework an advantage)
- Strong accuracy, organization, and attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and email applications
- Experience with Quickbooks is an asset
- Excellent communication skills in English; Mandarin or Cantonese proficiency considered an advantage
- Ability to adapt quickly, manage multiple priorities, and work both independently and as part of a team
- Professional, reliable, and client-service oriented

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
