SUMMARY:
Process car deals and accounts payable invoices for payment
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
(Includes the following. Other duties may be assigned.)
CAR DEAL CLERK
- Posts vehicle invoices into CDK on a daily basis, which includes setting up holdback receivables where applicable.
- Processes all car deals and posts to accounting and submits monthly commission schedule to Controller.
- Notifies Controller of any discrepancies in deal files, for example, short payment or adjustments requested by GM or any Sales Manager.
- Posts vehicle incentive payments from Porsche Canada and Audi Canada received on parts account.
- Prepares any related journal entries and posts once authorized by Controller.
- Submits monthly a vehicle gross spreadsheet to Controller.
- Compiles reports as requested.
DEPOSIT CLERK
- Prepares the daily bank deposit including posting, capping and reconciling the clearing account.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 1 year automotive accounting experience posting car deals.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Valuable communication skills, excellent phone mannerism and enjoy inter-relating with co-workers
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
A good understanding of dealership accounting practices as well as the ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interests and percentages.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to resolve problems or issues with customers and/or vendors. The ability to work independently as well as the ability to multi-task for maximum efficiency.

Pay: $60,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
