Hyatt Place Kelowna Hotel is looking for a part time Maintenance Worker for our 160 room hotel.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Performs general day-to-day maintenance of public, Guest and operational areas.

Responsible for the interior and exterior upkeep of the property, including landscaping.

Performs general repairs and overall maintenance to plumbing, electrical equipment and mechanical equipment.

Responsible for the general outdoor maintenance.

Responsible for maintaining pool cleanliness and pool balancing.

Responsible to respond to guest requests in a timely and professional manner.

Will complete a monthly Preventative Maintenance Form for Head Office

Having a thorough knowledge of Best Western Brand Standards and Services.

Actively seeking ways to meet guests’ product or service needs.

Professional Requirements:

Must be available on weekends (AM and PM)

Minimum three (2) years experience inbuilding maintenance repair and upkeep

Experience in a hospitality environment an asset.

Experience with painting, wallpapering, and gardening & lawn equipment.

Possesses maintenance troubleshooting ability.

General mechanical and technical knowledge.

Physical Challenges





May require some standing for long periods of time, heavy lifting and manual labor.

Ability to excel in a fast-paced and high-stress work environment.

May work with hazardous materials such as pool chemicals, paint, and epoxies.

Job Type: Full Time for 40 hours a week.

Scheduling Requirements: Days, evenings, weekends and holidays

High school or equivalent
