Job Summary
We are seeking a Full-Time Mechanical CAD Designer/Drafter with strong drafting skills and at least a year of AutoCAD experience. This role is ideal for a motivated and hardworking individual who can work both independently and as part of a collaborative engineering team. This role also requires to collaborate effectively with engineers and project managers to support system design and construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare and update mechanical system drawings (HVAC, plumbing, fire sprinklers).
- Draft layouts and details in AutoCAD (minimum 1 year of direct experience required).
- Assist with Revit modeling (asset, not mandatory).
- Ensure compliance with building codes, standards, and project requirements.
- Maintain organized documentation and project records.
- Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and external partners.




- Manage tasks effectively with excellent time management and punctuality.
- Support project submissions with technical and administrative accuracy.

Requirements

- Minimum 1 year of CAD (AutoCAD) drafting experience (required).
- Diploma or education in Mechanical Engineering / Technology – beneficial but not mandatory.
- Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and fire sprinkler systems.
- Proficiency in English (spoken and written).
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office tools.
- Strong documentation, organization, and attention to detail.
- Ability to work individually and collaboratively in a team setting.
- Hardworking, proactive, and eager to learn.
- Knowledge of Revit and BC Building Codes/ASHRAE standards – considered an asset.
