Family Law Paralegal (5-10 years of experience) - 100% Remote - #5154

Our client, a well-established boutique law firm in downtown Vancouver, is seeking a Family Law Paralegal with 5-10 years of experience to join its team. This is a 100% remote chance.

Responsibilities

- Manage family law files from commencement through resolution.
- Communicate directly with clients and serve as a key point of contact throughout the litigation process.
- Schedule and coordinate discoveries, mediations, court appearances, and trials.
- Prepare, file, and serve a variety of court documents, including Notices of Family Claim, Responses, Counterclaims, Notices of Application, Application Responses, Affidavits, Orders, Trial Briefs, JCC Briefs, Form F8s, Settlement Offers, Mediation Briefs, and Expert Instruction Letters.
- Prepare application record binders, desk order divorces, and LTSA filings, including CPL registrations and removals.




- Monitor litigation deadlines under the Supreme Court Family Rules.
- Conduct legal research and prepare books of authorities.
- Draft correspondence to clients, opposing counsel, experts, and third parties.
- Organize document disclosure, prepare Lists of Documents, and manage document demands and responses.
- Coordinate expert reports, including Section 211 reports, appraisals, and income analysis reports.
- Prepare child and spousal support calculations using DivorceMate.

Qualifications

- 3–7 years of Family Law Paralegal experience.
- Strong working knowledge of the Supreme Court Family Rules, Provincial Court Family Rules, the Family Law Act, and the Divorce Act.
