Lee Humble, CPA, Prof. Corp. is seeking an experienced and self-motivated Staff Accountant to join our team.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for the timely and accurate preparation of financial accounting data in a variety of areas, responsibilities include:

- Full cycle accounting including financial statement preparation
- Corporate T2 income tax return preparation for small businesses
- Personal T-1 income tax return preparation

Requirements:

- Post-secondary accounting education and/or formal training
- A minimum of 5 years of experience preparing Canadian personal and corporate tax returns in a public accounting setting.

Additionally, familiarity with the following is required, with demonstrated working knowledge considered an asset:

- Tax prep or equivalent (T-1 and T2) – knowledge and experience in preparing personal tax returns and corporate tax returns
- QuickBooks online proficiency; QuickBooks Desktop proficiency
- Basic Simply Accounting proficiency (or Sage)
- CaseWare working papers proficiency
- Jazzit proficiency
- Excel and Word proficiency
- Wave Accounting
- General Accounting knowledge (i.e.



bank reconciliations, basic payroll entries, and journal entries)
- Experience with CRA My Account Website/Represent a Client
- Experience in compilation engagements is preferred

Start date: negotiable; as soon as possible

Hours of work: Monday to Friday, 8:30 to 5:00 pm (negotiable), 40 hours/week (½ to 1 hour for lunch). Position is office based, but some remote work may be available depending on experience.

Salary: Based on qualifications and experience, with eligibility for company benefits. Parking is provided. Please note that salary is further negotiable for individuals holding a CPA designation.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $49,200.00-$98,400.00 per year
