Job Title: Accounting Clerk
Location: Ottawa, ON
Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $45,000–$50,000 annually, with room for advancement based on performance and experience.

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Clerk to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting daily accounting operations, maintaining accurate financial records, and assisting with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general administrative accounting duties.

Responsibilities

- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
- Reconcile bank statements and financial records.
- Prepare invoices and follow up on outstanding payments.
- Maintain accurate accounting files and records.
- Assist with payroll processing and expense tracking.
- Enter financial data into accounting software.
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Respond to vendor and customer inquiries regarding payments and invoices.
- Perform general office and administrative duties as required.





Qualifications

- Diploma or certificate in Accounting, Bookkeeping, or a related field.
- Previous experience in an accounting or bookkeeping role preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or similar).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Schedule

- Monday to Friday
- Full-time, 40 hours per week

Experience

- Accounting: 1 year (preferred)
- Bookkeeping: 1 year (preferred)
