Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Automotive Service Technician specializing in

Japanese Domestic Market (JDM) vehicles. The successful candidate must have

strong experience working with Right-Hand Drive (RHD) vehicles, Japanese import

vehicles, and Japanese mini trucks, with the ability to diagnose and repair complex

mechanical and electrical systems.

Job Duties

The Automotive Service Technician will perform some or all of the following duties:

● Inspect vehicles and diagnose mechanical and electrical issues using

computerized diagnostic equipment.

● Perform engine repairs, internal engine work, and complete engine

overhauls, including disassembly, inspection, and reassembly of engine

components.

● Diagnose and repair manual and automatic transmissions, including clutch

systems and drivetrain components.

● Repair or replace components of automotive systems including engines, fuel

systems, exhaust systems, steering, suspension, braking systems, and

cooling systems.

● Diagnose and repair vehicle electrical systems, including wiring, sensors, and

electronic control modules.

● Service and repair air conditioning (A/C), heating, and climate control

systems.

● Install and troubleshoot vehicle audio and speaker systems.

● Perform scheduled maintenance services including oil changes, tune-ups, fluid

changes, brake service, and inspections.

● Perform repairs and maintenance on Japanese Domestic Market (JDM)

vehicles, Right-Hand Drive (RHD) vehicles, and Japanese mini trucks.

● Interpret and use Japanese factory service manuals, technical





documentation, and OEM parts catalogs to identify parts and repair

procedures.

● Adapt diagnostic and repair procedures for import-specific components and

configurations not commonly found in North American vehicles.

● Test repaired vehicles to ensure proper operation and safety.

● Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, and services performed.

Employment Requirements

Education

● Secondary (high school) diploma or equivalent and post-secondary certificate or

diploma in automotive mechanics.

Experience

● Minimum 5 years of professional automotive repair experience.

Specialized Experience (Required)

● Proven experience working with Japanese Domestic Market (JDM) vehicles

and Right-Hand Drive (RHD) vehicles.

Certifications

● Automotive Service Technician Trade Certification

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $36.00 per hour
