Alliance Française Canada Pacific is a non-profit organization and part of the international Alliance Française network. We promote the French language and Francophone cultures through language education, cultural programming, and community events in Vancouver and Victoria.

Position Overview

We are seeking a reliable Custodial & Facilities Assistant to ensure the cleanliness, order, and readiness of our spaces, and to support event and rental preparation. This is a hands-on role essential to the smooth day-to-day operation of our facilities.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform daily cleaning of facilities, including classrooms, restrooms, and common areas
- Maintain cleanliness, order, and hygiene standards at all times
- Prepare, reset, and clean spaces for events and room rentals
- Restock supplies (toilet paper, soap, paper towels, etc.)




- Carry out basic handyman tasks (minor fixes, light maintenance, moving furniture)
- Report maintenance issues or safety concerns
- Follow health and safety guidelines

Profile & Requirements

- Previous experience in custodial, cleaning, or facilities work (preferred)
- Reliable, autonomous, and well organized
- Physically able to perform cleaning and setup tasks
- Comfortable working in a cultural and event-based environment
- French-speaking is an asset

Compensation: $20 per hour
