Job Overview

We are looking for an enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and customer-focused Cannabis Retail Sales Associate to join our team! Duties

- Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner while verifying age and identification as required.
- Assist customers in selecting cannabis products based on their preferences, desired effects, and experience level.
- Educate customers on product categories, including dried flower, pre-rolls, edibles, concentrates, vapes, beverages, and accessories.
- Process sales accurately using POS (Point of Sale) systems while handling cash, debit, and credit transactions.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked sales floor with attractive product displays.
- Receive, restock, and organize inventory while following all cannabis storage and security procedures.
- Ensure compliance with all provincial cannabis regulations, store policies, and responsible retailing practices.
- Promote featured products and use upselling and cross-selling techniques to enhance the customer experience.
- Stay informed on new products,



industry trends, and cannabis education through ongoing training.
- Work collaboratively with team members to achieve sales goals and provide exceptional customer service.
- Assist with opening and closing procedures, daily cash reconciliation, and general store maintenance.

Requirements

- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Must possess a valid SellSafe Certification (or be willing to obtain one before employment begins).
- Previous retail or customer service experience is preferred; cannabis retail experience is considered an asset.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with customers.
- Comfortable educating customers while maintaining a professional and non-judgmental approach.
- Basic math skills and experience handling cash transactions accurately.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs when stocking merchandise.

Preferred Skills

- Experience using POS systems and inventory management software.
- Knowledge of cannabis products, consumption methods, and responsible use.
- Sales experience with a demonstrated ability to meet or exceed targets.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to regulatory compliance.
- Bilingual or multilingual communication skills are considered an asset.
