Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional Host/Host to create a welcoming atmosphere for our guests. This role is essential in providing exceptional guest services, managing reservations, and ensuring smooth seating operations in a dynamic hospitality environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, excellent communication skills, and experience in food service or restaurant settings. Prior hotel or restaurant experience is a plus. This position offers an opportunity to be the first point of contact for our guests and contribute to an outstanding dining experience.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements
- Manage reservations and waitlists efficiently using POS systems such as Micros POS
- Answer phone inquiries with professional phone etiquette and provide accurate information
- Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely seating and service
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand area
- Handle guest inquiries,
special requests, and feedback courteously
- Assist in managing the flow of guests during peak hours to minimize wait times
- Support the team with additional duties as needed to enhance guest satisfaction
Skills
- Solid guest services and customer service skills with a friendly demeanor
- Previous experience in serving, hospitality, or food service environments
- Knowledge of restaurant operations, including POS systems like Micros POS
- Excellent communication skills and professional phone etiquette
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting
- Hospitality or hotel experience is advantageous
- Ability to work well within a team and adapt to changing priorities
- Professional appearance and demeanor suitable for a customer-facing role
