The Opportunity:
The Cook of the Long-Term Care residence is responsible for ensuring that proper meals are prepared and served on time and that work areas are maintained in a protected and sanitary condition.
What Is In It For You:
- Checks special diet orders for new admissions to ensure they are correct (as required).
- Responds to resident or family member concerns and ensures appropriate action is taken within decision-making authority and/or brings to the attention of the Food Services Manager/Supervisor.
- Directs Food Services Workers in the performance of their duties and assumes responsibility for the operation of the Food Services Department (as required).
What You Will Need
- Prior experience as a Cook preferably in a supervisory capacity.
- Current provincial Safe Food Handling Certificate.
- A minimum of public-school education is required. High school education is preferred.
- Must have a diploma/certificate or equivalent in quality food preparation and production.
Internal Closing Date: May 5, 2026
Hours of Work: 6:30AM- 2:30PM OR 10:30AM- 6:30PM
Approximate Start Date: May 11, 2026
