We are seeking a skilled AZ Truck Driver / Tractor Trailer Driver to join our transportation team. This full-time position involves operating commercial trucks to safely and efficiently transport freight across various routes. The ideal candidate will have a strong focus on safety, reliability, and professionalism, ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining the integrity of the cargo. Experience with heavy equipment operation and automotive repair is a plus, contributing to overall operational excellence.
Duties
- Safely operate tractor-trailers and other heavy-duty vehicles to transport freight to designated locations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations.
- Load and unload freight, utilizing forklift or other equipment as necessary, ensuring proper handling and securement of cargo.
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation, including logs, manifests, and delivery receipts.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and team members regarding delivery schedules and potential issues.
- Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting when required to minimize vehicle downtime.
- Adhere to all federal, state, and company safety regulations during operations.
- Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and general maintenance of the vehicle fleet.
Qualifications
- Valid AZ Commercial Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience in commercial driving, preferably with tractor-trailers or similar heavy equipment.
- Knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety protocols.
- Experience operating forklifts or other heavy equipment is desirable.
- Basic automotive repair skills are a plus for troubleshooting minor vehicle issues.
- Ability to operate heavy machinery safely and efficiently in various conditions.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and commitment to safety standards.
- Flexibility to work flexible hours as needed for delivery schedules.
