About the Client:

We're seeking a compassionate caregiver for a woman recovering from a car accident that resulted in three fractures in her forearm. The cast has recently been removed, and she now requires assistance with wound care and daily activities during her recovery. She lives with her husband in Toronto and values cultural familiarity, particularly around meal preparation and daily routines.

Responsibilities:

- Assist with bathing and personal hygiene, including cleaning the healing wound area with open water as directed by medical professionals
- Prepare North Indian meals according to family preferences and dietary needs
- Light housekeeping including cleaning dishes and maintaining tidy living spaces
- Provide laundry assistance
- Medication reminders and assistance as needed
- Occasional transportation support for errands or medical appointments
- Support with day-to-day activities during recovery period

What We're Looking For:

The ideal caregiver will be familiar with North Indian culture and comfortable preparing traditional North Indian cuisine. We need someone who is calm, patient, and brings positive energy to the home. Reliability and consistency are essential, as is transparent communication with the family. The caregiver should be comfortable providing personal care including bathing assistance and wound care, while respecting the client's independence. Experience supporting clients recovering from hospital stays or injuries is preferred. Strong initiative and the ability to make the client feel comfortable during a vulnerable recovery period are crucial.

Schedule:





This is a daily position requiring 3 hours per day, every day of the week, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM. The family is looking for consistent care that may be split between two caregivers if needed to accommodate the seven-day schedule. Care should begin as soon as possible to support ongoing recovery needs.

Languages:

English and Gujarati speaking ability required.
