Lead Hand / Renovation Handyman

Job Summary

We are a growing renovation company specializing in high-quality residential and commercial renovations throughout the Greater Toronto Area. We are looking for an experienced Renovation Handyman / Lead Hand who has the skills and confidence to complete projects from demolition to final finishing.

This is NOT a property maintenance position. We are looking for someone with real renovation experience who understands construction methods, renovation materials, and quality workmanship.

The ideal candidate can independently complete a full gut bathroom renovation, supervise other team members on-site, and consistently deliver professional results.

A company truck and all required tools are provided.

Responsibilities

- Complete residential and commercial renovation projects from start to finish.
- Perform full bathroom renovations, including:
- Demolition
- Framing
- Drywall installation
- Taping and mudding
- Waterproofing
- Tile installation
- Painting
- Finish carpentry
- Installation of vanities, trim, doors, and accessories
- Install flooring, cabinets, doors, baseboards, crown moulding, and interior finishes.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and project specifications.
- Operate power tools and hand tools safely and efficiently.
- Supervise labourers and subcontractors while maintaining quality standards.
- Plan daily work activities and ensure projects stay on schedule.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site.
- Communicate professionally with homeowners, commercial clients, suppliers, and project managers.
- Assist with material pickups, deliveries, and inventory management when required.

Qualifications

- Minimum 5 years of residential renovation experience.




- Proven experience completing full bathroom renovations independently.
- Strong knowledge of:
- Demolition
- Framing
- Drywall
- Taping and mudding
- Tile setting
- Painting
- Finish carpentry
- Flooring installation
- Cabinet installation
- Experience leading crews or supervising projects is required.
- Ability to read construction drawings and blueprints.
- Excellent knowledge of renovation materials, tools, and construction methods.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship.
- Valid Ontario G Driver's Licence with a clean driving record.
- Comfortable working throughout the Greater Toronto Area.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform physically demanding work.
- Spanish speaking is a major asset.

- Bathroom Renovations: 3+ years (Required)
- Crew Leadership / Lead Hand Experience: Preferred

Pay: $30.00-$35.00 per hour
