Status: Full-time – Rotating shifts (day, evening, night, weekends)

About YHU Terminal

YHU Terminal is a partnership between Porter Aviation Holdings and Macquarie Asset Management to develop and operate a new state-of-the-art passenger terminal at MET - Montreal Metropolitan Airport in Saint-Hubert. The private Terminal operator offers modern facilities that will eventually welcome up to four million passengers a year.

Mission

The Ramp Duty Manager is responsible for the real-time supervision of aircraft ground handling and apron operations. They ensure safe, efficient, and timely coordination of all ground activities by maintaining seamless communication between all airport stakeholders (airlines, AOCC, ramp crews, de-icing, fueling services, etc.), while upholding safety, security, and service quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Coordinate and supervise all ramp operations: baggage handling, cabin servicing, aircraft marshalling, towing, and ground equipment coordination... etc.
- Monitor on-time performance and operational efficiency throughout the shift.
- Conduct daily briefings with ramp lead and ramp crew to align on goals and safety updates.
- Assign tasks, manage shift coverage, and support real-time decision-making to maintain smooth operations.
- Act as the primary liaison between airlines, the AOCC, ramp teams, maintenance personnel, and safety/security services.
- Coordinate the availability and functionality of ground support equipment with the team leader (GPU, stairs, cones, etc.).
- Respond to operational delays, irregularities, or incidents and coordinate necessary corrective actions.




- Enforce compliance with operational procedures, safety standards, and regulatory requirements (SMS, OHS).
- Ensure on-time aircraft turnarounds and fluid airside traffic flow.
- Train, coach, and support new employees in adopting proper safety practices and operational procedures.
- Participate in daily briefings, operational meetings, and emergency response exercises.
- Maintain accurate logs, incident reports, and operational records.
- Assist in performance management and provide feedback on ramp staff conduct and performance.
- Manage staff and equipment based on operational needs.
- Carry out other operational duties as assigned by the Operations Manager.

Job Requirements

- College diploma or equivalent experience in aviation, logistics, or transportation.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in ground operations.
- Supervisory experience in a fast-paced or safety-critical environment.
- Solid knowledge of airport regulations and safety protocols (SMS).
- Able to work effectively in a high-pressure and dynamic environment.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and decision-making skills.
- Bilingual (French and English) required.
- Holder of or eligible for a Restricted Area Identity Card (RAIC).
- Valid driver’s license (Class 5).
- Flexible availability to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Able to work in outdoor environment and in various weather conditions.
- Must be in good physical condition and capable of lifting and carrying loads of up to 32 kg (70 lbs).
- Organized, adaptable, and able to perform under pressure in a time-sensitive environment.
- Committed to fostering a strong culture of safety, quality, and operational discipline.
- Must consistently adhere to the company’s uniform policy and always maintain a professional appearance.
