The Opportunity

We are currently seeking a Crusher-Plant Operator to join our operations team in Sudbury, Ontario. In this role, you will safely operate and maintain crushing and screening equipment while supporting daily production, completing inspections, and maintaining a safe and organized work environment. This position involves physically demanding outdoor work, occasional travel to job sites, and collaboration with a skilled team to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operations.

Your Day-to-Day

- Safely operate and maintain crushing and screening plants, stackers, loaders, and other production equipment
- Perform daily pre-operational and post-operational inspections and attend safety meetings
- Manage and report inventory and production
- Clean and lubricate and refuel equipment as required
- Monitor equipment fitness, and ever-changing conditions
- Perform minor repairs to equipment when required
- Maintain accurate electronic hours of service logs and vehicle inspection logs
- Perform physically demanding work including lifting up to 50 lbs, bending, crouching, climbing, crawling, repetitive reaching, and extended periods of standing throughout the workday




- Work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including inclement weather
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Work evenings, weekends, and extended hours as required to meet operational and project demands
- Travel to job sites across Northern Ontario, including occasional out-of-town assignments with overnight stays
- Work in accordance with all internal, client and regulated health and safety policies, procedures and/or regulations, including wearing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Perform other related duties as assigned

You Are a Good Fit If You Have

Required:

- Minimum of one (1) year of experience operating heavy equipment including Jaw and Cone crushers as well as Conveyor systems
- Valid G class Driver’s License
- Strong commitment to safety and teamwork

Considered an Asset:

- Prior experience in the construction and/or mining industry
- Surface Miner Common Core
- Highschool Diploma or equivalent

Skills & Abilities:

- Successfully passed comprehensive pre-employment third party testing requirements (drug and alcohol testing and a Criminal Background Check (CPIC) and any other requirements they impose on contractors)
- Familiar with aspects of maintenance of crushing equipment
- Knowledge of loading requirements, techniques, and practices
- Ability to perform physically intensive and strenuous tasks
- Ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision
- Solid communication skills with supervisors, coworkers, and clients
- Ability to adapt to changing job requirements and schedules
