Senior Accountant/Controller

Summary

The Billing Specialist will primarily be responsible to bill customers accurately in a timely manner and ensure receipt of invoices. Also, perform routine clerical accounting duties within a quick-paced finance department while adhering to established standards. The working days are Monday to Friday in the Halton Hills facility.

This role is a 12-month fixed term contract with potential to extend based on both performance and business requirements.

Job Duties

- Create invoices and credit memos according to company standard practices
- Verify billing transactions
- Send invoices to consumers
- Interact with the sales team, shipping and other departments on a day-to-day basis
- Filing of billing documentation
- Digital record keeping of invoices
- Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications

- Minimum of one year of experience in Billing or Accounts Receivable - New grads are encouraged to apply
- College diploma in relevant field, preferable accounting/commerce
- Basic understanding of clerical and administrative procedures




- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to solve problems as they arise
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software
