Cassens Transport ULC is looking for 310T licensed mechanics to join our team to assist inthe repair and maintenance of our fleet of carhaul tractor trailers at our shop facility located in London, Ontario.
Job Type: Full-time (40 hours per week. Overtime and double time is offered on an as-needed basis)
Shift Hours – Shifts will be determined by shift bid every 90 days in order of seniority. Shifts are subject to change.
Early Day Shift: Monday to Friday, 4:00 am to 12:30 pm
Day Shift: Monday to Friday, 6:00 am to 2:30pm
Afternoon Shift: Monday to Friday, 2:00 pm to 10:30 pm
Responsibilities and Duties:
* Diagnose and repair defects to a variety of systems such as lighting and electrical, cooling, exhaust and after treatment, brakes, drive train, suspension, steering, clutches, transmissions, hydraulics, welding, tires and more.
* Perform preventative maintenance inspections and annual safety inspections in accordance with MTO guidelines
* Test drive vehicles to verify repairs
* Maintain a safe and clean, productive and efficient work area
* Follow health and safety rules and regulations
Qualifications and Skills:
* 310T Truck & Coach Technician Licence required
* 3-5 years experience on heavy fleet equipment and vehicles preferred
* Experience with computerized diagnostics such as Freight liner Diagnostic Link, Volvo Tech Tool, Wabco and Bendix ABS an asset
* Experience welding steel and aluminum an asset
* Experience with hydraulic systems an asset
* AZ drivers licence an asset
