North Star Ford is looking for a full time General Accountant to join our busy dealership.

The primary role of the General Accountant is to assist in managing the overall financial operations of North Star Auto Group and will provide accurate information to the Controller. This position is required to follow and maintain accounting principles, practices, and procedures as well as the preparation of financial statements and reporting to Controller and externally as required. The General Accountant will learn all areas of the administration department with the intent of providing back up and support for positions in the department.

The successful applicant will:

Spend dedicated time in each area of our administration departments to ensure an understanding of our whole business

· Be provided explicit training plans and targets to achieve within reasonable time frames to meet them

· Work with energetic, intelligent and authentic team mates that will be interested and invested in their success

Qualifications:

· Successful completion of Accounting Diploma or Degree

· Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience





· Experience and knowledge of all aspects of corporate accounting and financial management.

· Working knowledge of all relevant Federal, Provincial and local requirements regarding financial records, pension, profit sharing, and the like is essential.
