Customer Service Representative

Budget Car & Truck Rental —Cranbrook, BC

Budget Car & Truck Rental is currently hiring a Customer Service Representative to join our Cranbrook team.

This is a customer-focused role in a fast-paced rental setting. The position involves assisting customers with reservations and rental agreements, providing product and service recommendations, completing basic administrative tasks, and supporting daily location operations.

This role is well suited for someone who enjoys working with people, can stay organized in a busy environment, and is interested in a service-based sales position with the opportunity to increase earnings.

Responsibilities

- Greet and assist customers in person, by phone, and by email
- Provide accurate rental quotes and explain available products and services
- Open and close rental agreements
- Recommend products and services based on customer needs
- Communicate rental policies and procedures clearly to customers
- Assist with customer concerns and help resolve service issues
- Work with location staff, support departments, and other Budget locations
- Complete basic administrative tasks as directed by management
- Monitor fleet needs for same-day and upcoming reservations
- Inspect vehicles, identify and record damage, and assist with the claims process when required
- Clean vehicles to a high standard when required
- Participate in ongoing training and follow company procedures




- Support daily operations and other duties as assigned

Requirements

- Valid Class 5 driver’s licence required
- Strong customer service skills
- Reliable, punctual, and accountable for scheduled shifts
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication and listening skills
- Willingness to learn
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a busy environment
- Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays

Preferred Qualifications

- Previous customer service experience
- Sales or service-based sales experience considered an asset
- Vehicle knowledge considered an asset
- Previous experience in car rental, hospitality, or transportation considered an asset

Schedule

- 4-day work week
- 10-hour shifts
- 3 days off each week
- Weekend and holiday availability required

Pay: $19.00-$20.00 per hour
