Carry Steel is currently seeking aWeekend Shift Structural Steel and Plate Fitters to join our team:

Hourly Pay Rate: Journeyperson Fitter A: $38.25, Fitter B: $35.75 (3-12’s (Fri./Sat./Sun.) with 40 hours pay) Includes company-paid benefits and pension plan

Specific Duties:

- Read and interpret blueprints and complete required fitting-related duties.




- Ability to complete and document visual QC self-inspection of work according to required quality standards and customer specifications.
- Grind, stamp, cut, and drill metal.
- Operate various required equipment, including overhead cranes, grinders, welding machines, measuring and testing equipment, and cutting torch.
- Perform other related duties, when required.

Qualifications:

- Applicants must have structural steel and plate fitting experience.
- At a minimum, registered as an Apprentice Structural Steel and Plate Fitter.
- A valid Driver’s License.
- Basic rigging course, and/or certified overhead crane operator an asset.
- WHMIS.
- Fit for duty, and able to lift to 30 lbs.
- Registered apprentice as a welder or journeyman welder certification with FCAW experience would be helpful.
