Job Summary:

The Nutrition Specialist plays a key role in the care of children in our Early Learning and Childcare Centres. They plan and provide fresh, nutritious home cooked meals and baking which meet all dietary requirements. The Nutrition Specialist is responsible for maintaining the kitchen and equipment and providing a safe and healthy setting. They also engage directly with the children by providing fun and engaging learning opportunities that teach nutrition and basic cooking skills as well as provide support in the classroom when required. The Nutrition Specialist does not have any direct reports and reports directly to the Manager of the Early Learning and Childcare center.

The Float provides support for various positions within the Early Learning & Childcare program. They provide a high level of hands-on care to the children in our care, while educating and implementing developmentally appropriate programs.



This position requires flexibility and the ability to provide coverage for Early Childhood Educator’s (ECE), Developmental Worker’s (DW), and Nutrition Specialists. When providing longer term coverage for these positions, the Float is responsible for developing and planning all aspects of the roles. This position reports to the Early Learning & Childcare Manager and does not have any direct reports.

Shifts: Monday to Friday, 8 hour shifts between 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $19.38-$26.22 per hour
