We are a medical devices company that has multiple locations across Canada, USA and the EU.

We are in the midst of a major move and we have accumulated years of cabling, accessories, surplus equipment such as laptops, tower PC’s, switches, routers, laser printers etc..

We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented computer and printer repair and diagnostic person, true Tech Nerd, Enthusiast, or Geek to go through this mountain of things to sort was is bad, outdated from good and useable and perhaps get some of the more modern equipment working again.

The ideal candidate will have a strong technical and electronic background, enjoy working with computer hardware and networking gear.

This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on an innovative project that requires a deep understanding of networking and computer systems, with a focus on delivering reliable hardware repair and solutions.

It is contract position for an unknown period of time while all this work is done.

Key Responsibilities

· Sort through and test a lot of existing equipment that is not currently in use

· Set up hardware and install and configure software and drivers

· Install factory supplier cameras into existing Point of Sale Terminals

· Maintain and repair technological equipment (e.g. routers) or peripheral devices

· Laser printer repair

· Install well-functioning LAN/WAN and other networks and manage components

· (servers, IPs etc.)





· Perform regular upgrades to ensure systems and firmware remain updated

· Troubleshoot system failures or bugs and provide solutions to restore

· functionality

· Arrange maintenance sessions to discover and mend inefficiencies

· Keep records of repairs and fixes for future reference

· Offer timely technical support and teach users how to utilize computers

correctly

Requirements & Qualifications

- Experience: Minimum of 2-5 years of hands-on field experience in computer and printer repair
- Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in basic computer networking.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools to perform precise installations and repairs of computer and network equipment
- Soft Skills: Exceptional problem-solving abilities and top-notch customer service skills to effectively communicate with end users

· Licensing: Valid driver's license with a clean driving record so you can get to work

- Mechanical knowledge related to the installation of sensors and other mechanical components.
- Understanding of telecommunication systems, power supplies, and schematics related to security infrastructure.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex hardware/software issues efficiently.
- Excellent problem-solving skills combined with a passion for technology and innovation. This position is ideal for individuals who thrive on technical challenges and enjoy working in dynamic environments that require both hands-on skills and strategic thinking.

Pay: From $25.00 per hour
