About The Role

Our Professional Services practice is looking for a dynamic and results‑oriented Account Manager to join their growing practice in the Toronto office. The ideal candidate has experience in professional liability, errors and omissions, directors’ and officers’ liability, cyber and property & casualty insurance with an emphasis on professional services firms.

This role is client‑centric, focused on retention and growth, and offers a great prospect to grow a book of business.

What You’ll Do

- Manage an assigned book of business.
- Communicate effectively with commercial clients and create strategies to address client transactions, negotiations, and lead discussions.
- Analyze coverage design, including triggers, definitions, exclusions, claims‑made treatment, and continuity.
- Assume various account roles as required (marketing, account backup, lead broker, processing/associate tasks).
- Identify client or prospect circumstances and pitch their deal to the marketplace.
- Participate in underwriter conference calls, client meetings, and formal presentations, including at the C‑Level.
- Help clients select among competing quotes.
- Provide feedback for annual budget planning.
- Consistently monitor and follow up with clients on aged receivables.
- Collaborate with the account team, coaching and mentoring as needed.
- Utilize CORE for new business opportunities and Claude for daily functions.

Qualifications and Expertise

- RIBO‑Licensed CIP, FCIP, or CRM designation desired.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in professional liability (E & O).




- Experience with Epic broker management system or other BMS.
- Proficiency in MS Office: Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook.
- Ability to manage and mentor support staff.
- Strong organizational, time‑management, and client‑management skills.
- Effective verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
- Proactive, customer‑focused approach with resourceful researching skills.
- Analytical and strong decision‑making skills.
- Strong knowledge of commercial insurance industry trends.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel up to 25% across Ontario for client meetings.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for this position is a variable structure: base salary plus commission. The expected base salary is $69,000–$77,000, with commissions based on successful sales performance. Total compensation will vary depending on the candidate’s book of business, skills, experience, and working location, as well as the specific position’s business line, scope, and level.
