Responsibilities
- Complete a variety of project tasks including general engineering knowledge of telecommunication or electronic security systems and operational coordination with commercial hardware.
- Show ability to design cabling pathways such as conduits, cable tray systems and proper bonding systems.
- Meet with project clients to evaluate, define and review customer needs/objectives and ensure those requirements are met within the project design.
- Define and develop complete project‐related construction documents, including SD, DD, CD, to show design intent and project specifications, and assist with system‐related activities within all construction administration activities.
- Coordinate with integrated, multidisciplinary project teams to develop functional requirements, system designs and other project‐related requirements.
- Edit telecommunication or security specifications specific to the project.
- Maintain knowledge of current industry product offerings and research new emerging technologies.
- Assist in problem resolution and technical troubleshooting when field support is needed.
- Perform other duties as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- RCDD or PSP preferred.
- Can‐Do and problem‐solving mindset.
- Experience with Building Information Modeling (BIM), Revit, PDF software, Microsoft and Google software, AI LLMs, and AI‐enhanced tools.
- Strong communication and listening skills; ability to handle multiple concurrent assignments.
- Good organizational skills, confident curiosity, strong analytical judgment, leadership potential.
- Ability to rigorously audit, validate, and verify all AI‐generated outputs against engineering fundamentals and regulations.
- Ability to meet deadlines, handle multiple tasks independently, on schedule and under budget.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written).
- Ability to work in a high‐velocity environment managing multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail and workmanship quality.
- Strong computer skills; proficiency in Bluebeam and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with Revit and AutoCAD is a bonus; ability to learn new applications quickly.
- Knowledge of engineering drawings and design standards and practices.
- Robust desire for continuous learning and professional education.
- Preference given to local candidates.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
- Minimum of 20 years of experience.
- Professional engineering license recognized by the licensing board for the location of the position (e.g., PE or P. Eng).
- Extensive experience in project execution.
- Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office and standard design software.
- Comfortable being viewed as a technical expert in engineering analysis and design, with proven background of technical leadership.

The expected compensation range for this position depends on skills, experience, education and geographic location. For Toronto, ON the pay range is $146,000 – $196,000.
