A growing and client-focused law firm is seeking an experienced Litigation/Family Lawyer to join its team. The successful candidate will manage a diverse caseload involving family law and litigation matters, provide strategic legal advice, and represent clients through all stages of legal proceedings.
Key Responsibilities:
The lawyer will handle matters including divorce, support issues, property division, civil disputes, and other litigation files. Responsibilities include drafting pleadings and legal documents, conducting research, preparing hearings and trials, representing clients in court, negotiating settlements, and providing practical legal solutions.
The role also involves maintaining robust client relationships and collaborating with legal professionals and supporting staff.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate is a member in good standing with the Alberta Law Society and has 7–10 years of litigation experience. Strong advocacy, negotiation, research, and writing skills are required, along with the ability to manage multiple files in a fast-paced environment.
Experience in family law, civil/commercial litigation, mediation, or courtroom advocacy is preferred.
