WHAT'S THE SCOPE?

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the role is responsible for the overall financial accounting, reporting, internal controls, and accounting operations of the Canadian food manufacturing business. This role provides leadership to the accounting team while partnering closely with operations, supply chain, and senior management to support effective business decision-making. The Accounting Manager ensures accurate and timely financial reporting, manages the month-end close process, oversees inventory and cost accounting, maintains solid internal controls, and supports budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting & Accounting





- Lead all accounting operations including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, Fixed Assets, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition.
- Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close process and ensure timely preparation of accurate financial statements.
- Prepare and review account reconciliations and supporting schedules.
- Analyze financial results and operational performance, investigate variances, and provide recommendations to management.
- Maintain the integrity of the general ledger and ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures.
- Coordinate intercompany transactions and account reconciliations with U.S. operations.
