Overview

As part of the Department of Protective Services, the City of Humboldt is currently seeking to fill one permanent, full-time Administrative Clerk position. Reporting to the Director or designate, this role provides comprehensive administrative, operational, and coordination support and serves as a central hub for communication, documentation, logistics, compliance tracking, and inter-agency coordination.

Responsibilities

Managing incoming calls and bylaw inquiries, liaising with RCMP, CSOs, and external partners. The position supports CSO and Fire operations by coordinating work orders, inspections, court documentation, and tracking incidents and enforcement activities. It also maintains records and filing systems, including spreadsheets and digitized fire hall documentation.





The role is responsible for financial administration such as invoice processing, budget tracking, coding systems, and CSO invoicing using Diamond software, while liaising with Accounts Payable. It supports training and compliance by tracking certifications, scheduling renewals, maintaining documentation, and coordinating onboarding.

Qualifications

- Certificate or Diploma in Office Administration or a related field of study
- Ability to provide record keeping, administration, and filing
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Team player with excellent communication and customer service skills
- Satisfactory Criminal Record Check

Compensation

- This is an in-scope position under CUPE 2359 with a starting rate of pay of $24.48 per hour
