Description

This position has a term length of 2 years.
Location - This role is in-person at North Campus Edmonton.
This position works closely with and under the direction of the assessment specialist and assistant dean assessment to provide administrative support in the delivery of assessments for the four-year MD program. This position secures exam content from course coordinators, constructs examinations for delivery, and invigilates assessments, while maintaining a high degree of accuracy under tight timelines.
The incumbent will work closely with the course coordinators, students, and departmental clerkship administrators in delivering upwards of 400 assessments per year of varying types, in addition to early and deferred administrations.
Responsibilities
- Coordinated end-to-end delivery of MD program assessments, including exam planning, construction, administration, grading, and post-exam processes across Years 1–4.
- Manage assessments and operations for pre-clerkship and clerkship.
- Administer multiple assessment platforms (Exam.Med, Assess.Med, Portfolio.Med, and Cally), maintaining exam schedules, publishing student assessments, generating reports,
and supporting grade releases.
- Oversee in-person examinations, including invigilation, accommodations, deferred and remedial exams, Team-Based Learning (TBL), and Objective Structured Clinical Examinations (OSCEs).
- Collaborate with faculty, administrators, clinical partners, and support services to coordinate exam logistics, attendance management, examiner orientation, and standardized patient recruitment.
- Support assessment through financial administration, committee coordination, staff training, room and equipment management, and administrative support and clinical education activities.
Qualifications
- Post-Secondary Degree in Education required; combination of education and/or experience will be considered.
- Minimum of 5 years of administrative experience.
- Extensive knowledge of and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word; Excel; PowerPoint) and Google Apps; adaptable with using computing software and emerging educational technologies.
- Must be able to work with limited supervision and tight timelines.
