Responsibilities

- Assist adults with disabilities in daily activities such as personal care, mobility, and household tasks
- Support individuals in developing life skills through coaching and encouragement
- Use effective communication skills to understand and respond to each person’s unique needs, including proficiency in American Sign Language if applicable
- Administer medications safely and accurately following prescribed instructions
- Implement care plans tailored to each individual’s goals and requirements
- Foster positive relationships by promoting independence, self-esteem, and social engagement




- Maintain detailed documentation of support provided, progress notes, and incident reports

Requirements

- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or in caregiving roles is highly desirable
- Knowledge of special education principles and practices is a plus
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and team members
- Ability to administer medications responsibly following safety protocols
- Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to support others’ growth and well-being
- Flexibility to adapt to changing needs and schedules as required
- Certification or training in caregiving or related fields is advantageous
