Be part of the Alberta Institute for Wildlife Conservation team! As an Animal Care Worker, engage in hands-on care for wildlife and support rehabilitation efforts on-site in Madden, Alberta. AIWC is seeking dedicated Animal Care Workers for a 16-week contract.
You'll assist staff with feeding, cleaning, and caring for diverse wildlife patients while maintaining meticulous records. This role serves as a key support in animal rescues and calls from the Wildlife Hotline during shifts. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist staff with feeding and cleaning animal enclosures
- Care for injured baby birds and other wildlife patients
- Maintain detailed patient records accurately
- Support wildlife rescue efforts and transports
- Answer and redirect Wildlife Hotline calls Requirements:
- Solid attention to detail under varying shifts
- Valid Class 5 driver's license and reliable vehicle
- Tetanus vaccination required, rabies an asset
- Must be aged 18-30 to apply
