3-6 Year Securities & Capital Markets Associate – Vancouver

The Vancouver office of DLA Piper (Canada) LLP is looking for a talented junior associate with 3-6 years’ experience in Securities & Capital Markets. The successful candidate will have exposure to interesting and sophisticated corporate work with an incredibly busy and talented team. You will be a self-starter who is looking to apply strong and proven legal skills in our collegial and high functioning group. You will be a team player who enjoys collaborating with others.

Specifically, the successful candidate’s skills and experience will include:

- Advising clients on securities law compliance, with strong familiarity of applicable securities legislation, instruments, and stock exchange rules;
- Advising client companies on a broad array of corporate transactions, including debt and equity financings, going-public transactions and mergers and acquisitions; and
- Advising both public and privately held companies on corporate governance, stock exchange rules and continuous disclosure obligations.

Our clients include publicly listed and privately held entities, so 2+ years’ experience from a national, international, or very well-reputed law firm and/or mix of in-house work is highly desirable.
