About the role
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Audit Associate or Audit Senior to join our dynamic audit team at Beach Road office. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in delivering high-quality external audit services to our valued clients across various industries. As an Audit Associate or Senior, depending on your experience level, you will be instrumental in conducting comprehensive audits, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and providing valuable insights to support our clients' financial reporting.

Key responsibilities
Conducting detailed audit procedures and testing of financial records, transactions, and account balances in accordance with Singapore Standards on Auditing (SSA)
Preparing audit working papers and documentation to support audit conclusions and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
Performing substantive testing and analytical reviews to identify inconsistencies, risks, and areas requiring further investigation
Assisting in the planning and scoping of audit engagements, including risk assessment and materiality determination
Liaising with client finance teams to obtain necessary information, clarifications, and supporting documentation
Identifying control weaknesses and recommending improvements to strengthen internal controls and governance
Contributing to the preparation of audit reports and management letters detailing findings, recommendations, and observations
Mentoring and supervising junior audit staff (for Audit Senior level) and providing guidance on audit methodologies and best practices
Staying current with changes in accounting standards, auditing standards, and regulatory requirements affecting audit work
What we're looking for
Professional qualification such as CA (Singapore), CPA (Australia), or equivalent recognised accounting body membership
Minimum 2–3 years of relevant external audit experience for Audit Associate level, or 4+ years for Audit Senior level
Solid understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and Singapore Standards on Auditing (SSA)
Strong knowledge of auditing principles, procedures, and best practices within external audit environments
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail
Proficiency in audit software and Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate audit findings clearly to clients and colleagues
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team
Excellent time management and organisational skills to manage multiple engagements and deadlines
Demonstrable commitment to professional development and continuous learning
Experience in specific industry sectors such as manufacturing, retail, hospitality, or financial services is advantageous
Prior experience with XBRL filing or regulatory compliance reporting is desirable
