Company Description Omera Press is an independent publishing and author development company that helps experts, professionals, and storytellers transform ideas into books—and books into opportunities. We believe publishing is only the beginning. Through strategic marketing, media relations, speaking opportunities, platform development, and our Trifecta Authority Model™, we help authors become discoverable, credible, and memorable in the conversations that matter most.
Our authors include physicians, business leaders, educators, mental health professionals, adventurers, and award-winning storytellers. While their subjects may differ, they share a common goal: creating work that reaches the people it was written to serve.
At Omera
Press, we combine the personal attention of an independent publisher with the strategic thinking of a marketing partner.
Our mission is simple: to ensure exceptional books don't remain invisible.
Indie
Doesn't Mean Invisible. Some authors write books.
Others build movements. We're looking for someone who wants to help build the latter.
Omera
Press is seeking an Author Relations & Marketing Manager to support our featured authors. This is a part-time role that will potentially be a full time position. This is not a typical social media position. We're looking for someone who can think strategically, communicate exceptionally well, and take ownership of an author's public presence. What you'll be responsible for
You'll oversee the day-to-day management of our author's platform, including:
Developing and managing a monthly content calendar.
Writing and scheduling social media content.
Engaging thoughtfully with readers and community partners.
Assisting in writing, designing, and distributing the monthly newsletter.
Managing newsletter subscriptions and audience growth.
Planning and running the monthly Story Candle Whereabouts game.
Repurposing podcasts, interviews, and speaking engagements into ongoing content.
Booking podcasts, conferences, bookstores, libraries, schools, and speaking engagements (with the possibility of some travel).
Coordinating logistics with event organizers.
Maintaining promotional calendars and following up on opportunities.
Tracking performance and recommending new ideas to expand the community. We're looking for someone who:
Is an exceptional writer and communicator.
Has experience in marketing, publishing, public relations, or community management.
Understands how to build genuine relationships online rather than simply posting content.
Is highly organized and comfortable managing multiple moving pieces.
Can work independently and take initiative.
Enjoys collaborating with authors and creative professionals.
Is comfortable using platforms such as LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, GHL email platform, Canva, CapCut, and AI-assisted productivity tools.
Experience working with authors, publishers, speakers, or thought leaders is an asset, but curiosity, sound judgment, and a willingness to learn matter just as much. What success looks like
You'll help ensure that every podcast, event, interview, newsletter, and conversation contributes to a larger story. You'll help create an engaged community around meaningful books while opening new opportunities for readers, educators, parents, and organizations to discover our authors' work. Why join us?
This role is being created as the first of its kind at Omera Press.
Our vision is to develop a world-class Author Relations & Marketing program that supports authors throughout their publishing careers. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to help shape that vision and grow with us as we expand our roster of authors. If you're excited by the idea of building something meaningful from the ground up, we'd love to hear from you.
