This role is responsible for performing yard shunting operations, local deliveries, trailer movements, and ensuring freight is transported safely and efficiently. Successful candidates will have 3+ years of AZ shunting and delivery experience, have a clean driver’s abstract, and have great communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate company vehicle and deliver to customer locations (city driving).
- Perform shunt driving between 2 client locations.
- Offload deliveries using automated tailgate, dolly, or power walkie and lift 50lbs.
- Move trailers between docks, yards, staging areas, and designated locations.
- Maintain accurate delivery records, logbooks, inspection reports, and shipping documentation.
- Ability to work in a variety of weather, temperature, and road conditions.
- Provide strong customer service during deliveries.
- Other general duties as assigned.
Candidate Requirements
- 3+ years of verifiable AZ driving experience required.
- Willing to provide a Driver's Abstract and CVOR dated within the past 30 days.
- Willing to provide a Criminal Record Search.
- Able to safely lift up to 50lbs.
- Robust geographic knowledge of GTA and surrounding area is an asset.
- Willing to complete client training program.
