- Bus Location: PEES, 120 Bellevue, Magog

Nature of the Work

The principal and customary work of an employee in this class of employment consists in driving a road vehicle of a net weight of more than three thousand (3 000) kilos for the purpose of transporting people as well as goods and materials and performing any other task, such as loading and unloading goods,



while adhering to the applicable safety standards.

Characteristic Functions

- Driving a school bus

- Keep the vehicle clean and in positive running condition

- Ensure that the vehicle is washed, cleaned and fueled

- As instructed, carry out the inspections of the vehicle prescribed by law, regulations and directives.

- Must report any detected defect

- Keep a road record and prepare brief reports on certain activities related to his or her duties, as required.

- Keeps a logbook and the vehicle's inspection reports in the vehicle.

- May be required to drive a lighter vehicle.

- If need be, performs any other related duty.

Required Qualifications

1. Hold a driver's license of the class appropriate for the class of employment (Class 1 or Class 2)

2. Know how to operate the vehicles mentioned above

3. Have basic skills in heavy vehicle mechanics and in various preventative maintenance methods required.
