Set to open in Ottawa this summer, Carletto is the latest restaurant from Gray Collection, bringing the elegance and warmth of Italy to Ottawa. Inspired by traditional Italian gatherings and the simple pleasure of good food, the restaurant blends authentic cuisine with a contemporary spirit. Featuring fresh pasta, wood-fired pizzas, and carefully selected ingredients, each dish celebrates sharing and generosity.

The Bartender provides a high level of hospitality to guests by preparing and serving beverages and food items from the café and bar menus. They follow all steps of service while ensuring quality, consistency, and compliance with food and beverage standards. They also prepare beverage orders for the dining room and support overall service operations.

The main responsibilities include but are not limited to: RESPONSABILITIES Greet guests warmly, assist with seating when possible, and answer phone inquiries

Prepare and serve all beverage orders according to recipes, standards, and timing

Interact with guests, assess their needs, and make recommendations

Handle cash and card transactions accurately and maintain the bar till

Take and process room service orders, delivering them when possible

Maintain product quality by following established recipes and presentation standards

Set up, clean,



and close the bar while maintaining organization and sanitation standards

Restock supplies, prepare garnishes and mixes, and ensure product availability

Receive and manage inventory, including rotation and stock control

Use equipment safely and according to training

Maintain clear communication and teamwork with staff and management

Uphold skilled appearance, attitude, and company standards at all times

Follow all health and safety regulations and report unsafe conditions QUALIFICATIONS Exceptional knowledge of relevant beverages and legally allowed to serve alcohol (Smart Serve certified)

Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing in English and French

Strong interpersonal skills with a passion for hospitality

Possess a strong work ethic with a desire to achieve team goals

Ability to prioritize and manage your time during high volume and busy times

Being physically able to move quickly, bend, and reach throughout your shift; able to stand and walk for long periods of time 8+ hours and lift at least 50 pounds

Flexible schedule with availability on evenings, weekends and holidays

Valid work permit required

Experience in an Italian restaurant or similar upscale environment is an asset
