Position Overview
As part of our Building Science and Accessibility Consulting team, the Accessibility Auditor is responsible for conducting comprehensive accessibility assessments of buildings and facilities for public and private sector clients. The role involves field auditing, code compliance evaluation, data analysis, and report preparation to support clients in meeting accessibility legislation and universal design objectives.
The ideal candidate combines technical understanding of building systems and design with strong communication and analytical skills, ensuring that deliverables meet both regulatory and client expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed in office accessibility audits for a range of facility types, including civic buildings, recreational facilities, libraries, administrative offices, and multi-residential properties.
- Assess compliance with relevant accessibility codes and standards (e.g., AODA, OBC Section 3.8 and 9.5, CSA B651, ADA, local bylaws).
- Collect and document measurements, photographs, and field notes using standardized templates and digital tools.
