Join the Securitization Operations team, in the Bilingual Senior Officer, Securitization Programs position, where you will oversee the efficient operation of the National Housing Act Mortgage-Backed Securities (NHA MBS)



pooling process and the administration of all outstanding securitization pools for the portfolio of Issuers and ensure that securitization programs are administered in a manner consistent with government regulations and program policies. You will monitor pools and activities to ensure that administration practices comply with program guidelines. What you’ll do:

Approverequests from lssuers to issue NHA MBS in accordance with policies, guidelines and delegated authorities. Ensureall requirements are met with respect to mortgage eligibility and pool criteria; ensures all documentation has been received by CMHC and/or external service provider(s), as applicable. ReviewIssuer monthly accounting reports for accuracy and compliance with program guidelines, taking actions as and where appropriate.

Analyzeand resolvemore complex cases of mortgage ineligibility, makerecommendations and negotiatewith both internal and external clients to determine if any action can be taken to support the inclusion of the loan in the MBS pool. EnsureIssuer compliance with the annual documentation submission requirements and guidelines of NHA MBS Program. Provideexpert advice, guidance and clarifications on policy and procedural guidance to Approved Issuers and Service providers.

Provideonboarding support for new Issuers. Suggestimprovements to NHA MBS systems and processes.



What you should have:

An undergraduate degree in a related field such as business administration, economics or finance, or an equivalent combination of related education and experience. A minimum of three years of related work experience. A good understanding of financial instruments and processes, particularly mortgages and mortgage loan underwriting.

A thorough understanding of CMHC's securitization programs and associated processes. Excellent organizational and time management skills. A demonstrated ability to take initiative and work effectively without close supervision.

It would be great if you also had:

A professional licence, designation or certificate in a related field. A professional accounting designation would be an asset.
