What you'll do:
- Provide timely response to tenant maintenance requests and urgent building issues.
- Diagnose reported problems and identify the appropriate repairs, materials, and equipment required.
- Carry out general maintenance duties, including carpentry, plumbing, heating, and common area repairs.
- Ensure compliance with all safety protocols, including the use of required PPE and reporting of hazards.
- Maintain professional communication with tenants, contractors, and team members while completing accurate documentation and reports.
What you'll need:
- High school diploma (Grade 12) or equivalent, with 3-5 years of general maintenance and repair experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong knowledge of general facility maintenance, including plumbing, carpentry, hand and power tools, and workplace safety procedures.
- Proven ability to assess maintenance issues,
problem-solve effectively, and complete repairs in a cost-effective manner.
- Strong communication, time management, organizational, and teamwork skills, with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Valid Class 5 driver's license, reliable vehicle, steel-toed footwear, and ability to meet Criminal Record Check with vulnerable sector search requirements.
