The Care
Companion role entails working alongside residents in retirement homes, promoting their well-being.
Key duties include supervising residents around the facility, assisting with mobility, and ensuring compliance with safety protocols. You'll be integral in creating a safe and pleasant environment. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide items of comfort and engage residents in conversation
- Monitor residents for safety continuously
- Report any safety concerns to appropriate staff
- Aid residents with mobility within the care setting
- Uphold a positive and dignified atmosphere for residents Requirements:
- Must have a high school diploma or similar qualification
- Clear criminal record and vulnerable sector check are mandatory
- NVCI certification is required for this position
- Previous experience in geriatrics is a plus
