As a part-time Kanawendaakosowinik Caregiver at KIDO, you will provide essential support for awaashishag and oshkaadizag.
Your responsibilities will include cooking, assisting with education, and fostering a safe environment grounded in KI traditions. This position allows for meaningful interaction with children, enhancing their life skills and cultural knowledge. Key Responsibilities:
- Cook nutritious meals and teach cooking skills
- Keep all common areas clean and safe
- Supervise children during activities to ensure safety
- Follow and communicate established KIDO rules
- Participate in mandatory training and shift reporting Requirements:
- Proven experience with vulnerable youth and families
- Knowledge of Indigenous culture and teachings
- First Aid and CRP certification
- Clean Ontario Driver’s Licence necessary
