Overview
We are seeking energetic and reliable casual moving helpers to assist with various moving and loading projects on an as-needed basis. This role offers flexible, cash-friendly hours perfect for individuals looking to stay active and contribute to smooth moving operations. Duties
- Assist with loading and unloading furniture, boxes, and other household items during moves
- Help organize and pack items efficiently for transport
- Operate heavy equipment such as dollies, hand trucks, or clamp trucks safely when required
- Support team members in managing warehouse distribution tasks related to moving operations
- Ensure all items are handled with care to prevent damage during transit
- Follow safety protocols while lifting heavy objects or operating equipment
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment throughout the move
Skills
- Experience in warehouse distribution or similar physical roles preferred
- Mechanical knowledge or experience with heavy equipment operation such as forklifts or cranes is a plus
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems or shipping & receiving processes is advantageous
- Construction experience or order picker skills can be beneficial
- Strong teamwork and communication skills to coordinate effectively during busy moves
- Knowledge of load & unload procedures, order picking, and warehouse safety standards
