Make a meaningful impact in children's healthcare as a Certified Child Life Specialist at Stollery Children's Hospital. Utilize your expertise to support children’s coping, resilience, and development during challenging times. This part time role focuses on planning, developing, and implementing therapeutic interventions.
You will assess the needs of patients and families while delivering individualized and group activities aimed at reducing stress and promoting well-being. Your commitment to family-centered care will be vital in creating a supportive and joyful hospital environment. Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and coordinate therapeutic play activities for children
- Implement interventions to aid coping with hospitalization
- Assess and evaluate patient and family needs
- Provide diversionary experiences and special events
- Facilitate preparation for medical procedures through play Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Child Life or related field
- Certified Child Life Specialist certification required
- Experience in acute pediatric care with ages 0-17
- Emergency Department experience preferred
- Critical care experience is an asset Support child development and emotional well-being as a Child Life Specialist at Stollery Children's Hospital.
